Forest Park Japlenški vrh (842 m above sea level), covering 170 hectares, is an elevation right next to Delnice, on its western side. Here, protected nature extends through its natural continuation, King Tomislav Park in Delnice, directly into the town centre, acting as a special natural cooler, especially on hot summer days. The value of its wealth of trails, walking paths and footpaths is most recognised through sport, recreation, high-altitude training of athletes, a visit to the deer enclosure or simply a walk through the greenery around the “Lovački” guesthouse.

On the north-east slope of Japlenški vrh, there is an old 70-metre ski jump hill with its landing area at the town stadium. Ski jumping competitions were regularly held here from the 1950s until the end of the 1970s. The ski jump is awaiting reconstruction, and indeed its transformation into a Nordic centre, which would then make it possible to combine it with the cross-country skiing developed here into the increasingly popular skiing discipline of Nordic combined.

Planinarski put Japlenški vrh – Golubinjak pravo je otkriće za ljubitelje prirode, planinare, ljubitelje hodanja i čistoga zraka. Spaja dva zaštićena područja, tj. park-šumu Japlenški vrh kraj Delnica s park-šumom Golubinjak kraj Lokava. Staza je duga 9 km, uglavnom prati Lujzinsku cestu, premda se stalno nalazite u divljini i dobro je obilježena.
