It takes about an hour to reach Snježnik from Platak. At first you will follow the tourist ski trail, crossing it several times. Follow the signposts and hiking trail markings to reach the borders of the Risnjak National Park. It is easiest to hike through Greben all the way to the top, and return down following the trail through Grlo descending on the west side of the Snježnik peak. You will be pleasantly surprised when you reach this rocky peak surrounded by meadows and see just how easily accessible and picturesque it is, while the views from its lookout point at an elevation of 1506 m is one of the most beautiful ones in Croatia.
