In order to reach the trail start going left on the narrow gravel path and after some 200 m you will reach a pine tree on your right which bears a mark for the path towards the Stenica lookout point at an elevation of 520 m. It offers magnificent views of the Kupa river valley, and your eyes will immediately be drawn to the Kostel Castle on the Slovenian side. The Stenica lookout point is one of the positive vitality points in the litopuncture project named “The World of Kupa”. The trail which leads to one of the most beautiful lookout points in this area, called Medveja stena, bears hiking trail marks, and experienced hikers will notice the relatively rare tree lungwort lichen (Lobaria pulmonaria), indicating excellent air quality in the old, preserved forests.
